E31 11.00am | Meet at Askrigg Market Cross - Monday 7 June SOLD OUT! « Previous      Next »

On this 8-mile moderate walk we discover how earlier Dalesfolk harnessed the power of water, made lime in kilns, turned curd into cheese, and kept bees for honey. We will see village stocks, cross the shortest river in England, and pass the oldest house in Wensleydale. We will arrive back in Askrigg in time for the short journey to Hawes for the 5.00pm event.

GUIDED WALKS
Please wear boots and bring waterproofs and a hat, plus lunch and water for full-day walks. Well-behaved dogs are welcome, if on a lead, unless otherwise indicated. Remember coins for ticket machine if starting from a car-park. Places are limited, so book in advance.
