On this 8-mile moderate walk we discover how
earlier Dalesfolk harnessed the power of water,
made lime in kilns, turned curd into cheese, and
kept bees for honey. We will see village stocks,
cross the shortest river in England, and pass the
oldest house in Wensleydale. We will arrive back
in Askrigg in time for the short journey to Hawes
for the 5.00pm event.
