YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS
The Festival sends occasional emails to people on its mailing list. Once these have gone out there are always many that we are told cannot be delivered. This could be because the address has been spelled wrongly in our database, or because we have been given a work email for someone who is no longer with that organisation, or because the email address has changed, perhaps because the holder has changed to a different provider. Sometimes it is even because the mailbox for the recipient is full.
If you think you have given us your email address but you haven't received any emails from us, please let us know by sending an email to firstname.lastname@example.org asking us to check your email address in our database. We will not bombard you with emails but we do know that our supporters generally like to be kept in touch with what is happening at the Festival.
We produce two brochures, a small leaflet which is distributed in large numbers to tourism information points, and a full colour booklet with more details about the individual events and general information about the Festival. The majority of these are mailed out to people on our mailing list. If you would like one sent to you, please email email@example.com with your full postal address and we will add you to our mailing list. The main brochure mailing takes place in February. If you do not wish us to contact you by email, please indicate this. Your details will not be divulged to any other organisation.
REQUESTS TO APPEAR IN THE FESTIVAL:
If you are an artiste who wishes to appear in the Swaledale Festival, or if you represent one, please send a brief email detailing your proposal to firstname.lastname@example.org, marking it for the attention of the Artistic Director. The ideal time to submit a proposal is mid-June to early July, and the programme for the next Festival is usually complete by mid-October.
Please note that most of our venues are churches which do not have large stages and are not appropriate for loud amplified music or drums.
We receive many hundreds of submissions each year and we consider all of them, so please don’t be offended if we don’t respond. It may simply be that what you are offering doesn’t fit with the overall balance of the forthcoming Festival, for example. By all means try again the following year.
